On its website, Idealist.org ("Idealist"), the Organization maintains the most popular English language directory of nonprofit organizations and social enterprises on the web. Over 90,000 organizations have created profiles on Idealist where they post their services, jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities, and events. Presently, over 550,000 individuals have created profiles on the site (with hundreds joining every day), and hundreds of thousands opt to receive free email alerts when new listings are posted that
match their areas of interest and geographic location. All of these services are also available in Spanish (www.idealistas.org) and French (www.idealiste.org).
The Organization launched a new pilot program in 2014, consisting of a growing network of volunteers who want to help people in their communities identify the issues they care about, find answers and solutions, and begin to take action.
Alongside the thousands of nonprofit jobs that are posted on Idealist, the Organization provides free online tools for career assessment and self-knowledge, including a career blog, and a resource center. In addition, the Organization helps prospective graduate students make informed decisions about whether to pursue a degree and how to select a school that will best suit their needs. In 2013, the Organization hosted 18 Graduate Degree Fairs in cities across the United States, where representatives of graduate degree programs could meet with thousands of prospective students face-to-face. On the website, the Organization also provides a free Graduate Education Resource Center, with profiles of specific degrees "for the public good," videos and podcasts about admissions and financial aid, and more.
