Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Public Affairs & Zionist Education
To create public awareness in communities around the country about the happenings affecting the Jewish people and to education the public concerning the values of Zionism.
Center for Law and Justice
The ZOA Center for Law and Justice (ZOA-CLJ) was established to meet the need for greater organizational involvement in legal matters that affect relations among the United States, Israel and the Jewish people.
We work to educate the American public and Congress about legal issues in order to advance the interests of Israel and the Jewish people.
We assist American victims of terrorism in vindicating their rights under the law, and seek to hold terrorists and sponsors of terrorism accountable for their actions.
We fight anti-Semitism and anti-Israel bias in the media and on college campuses.
We strive to enforce existing law and also to create new law in order to safeguard the rights of the Jewish people in the United States and Israel.
Government Relations
The government relations department focuses on three main themes in its advocacy with Congress at present. ZOA remains the only major American Jewish organization advocating for an end to US aid to the Palestinian Authority until the PA fulfills its signed commitments under various "peace process" agreements, including to arrest and imprison terrorists; dismantle and outlaw terrorist groups; end incitement to hatred and murder within the PA-controlled media, mosques, schools, and youth camps; end the PA alliance with Hamas; and recognize Israel as a Jewish state. ZOA has been a major force advocating for firm US support of Israel's defensive war this past summer against Hamas, the Islamic Resistance terrorist organization. Finally, Iran continues its relentless pursuit of a nuclear weapon, and ZOA is at the forefront of the congressional fight to stop Iran from achieving this capability.
Campus Activism Network
Bringing pro-Israel programs to college campuses. ZOA Campus educates students about Israel, and teaches students to counter anti-Israel propaganda. ZOA Campus also selects a number of student leaders every year to bring on a mission to Israel. ZOA Campus also coordinates a summer internship program for students to work in the NY office, and a Campus Fellowship program. The campus department is active all over the United Staes creating strategies on campuses for promoting Zionist activity and pro-Israel programming> ZOA Campus has become a vital network of students all over the country.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Founded in 1897, the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) is the oldest pro-Israel organization in the United States. With offices around the country and in Israel, the ZOA is dedicated to educating the public, media, elected officials, and college/high school students about the truth of the ongoing and relentless Arab war against Israel. ZOA is also committed to promoting strong U.S.-Israel relations. ZOA works to protect Jewish college and high school students from intimidation, harassment and discrimination, and in fighting anti-Semitism in general.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Under the leadership of such illustrious presidents as Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandies, Rabbi Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, and current National President Morton A. Klein, the ZOA has been on the front lines of Jewish activism for over a century. With a national membership of over 30,000, and chapters throughout the United States, the ZOA today works to strengthen US-Israeli relations, through educational activities, public affairs programs, working every day on Capitol Hill, and by combating anti-Israel bias in the media, textbooks, and on college campuses.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
ZOA's Center for Law and Justice utilizes the American justice system to help Israel and the Jewish people. The Center files suit with the Federal Department for violations of law where anti-Semitism or anti-Israel policy is at issue. The Center for Law and Justice helped bring about the shutdown of ten pro-terrorist web sites. The ZOA initiated a groundbreaking case under federal civil rights laws to rectify the dangerous anti-Semitic/anti-Israel climate on college campuses. The Center also addresses and confronts the leadership of universities, companies, and organizations that seek to knowingly or unknowingly put forth anti-Semitic or anti-Israel bias in the public sphere.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our long-term goal is the continued thriving of the Jewish State of Israel. So long as ZOA keeps working to ensure this truth every day, we are making tremendous meaningful strides.
