Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, Websites
The CCF's primary website (www.carcinoid.org) provides a wealth of information for, patients, basic and clinical researchers, and healthcare professionals. This website provides valuable information regarding many topics about the disease and living with neuroendocrine cancer including FAQ's frequently asked questions; nutritional issues; quality of life and psychosocial issues; support and discussion groups; online discussion and support groups; survivor stories; videos on neuroendocrine cancer and specific aspects of the disease as well as patient journeys; links to relevant other medical information sites; information on current neuroendocrine tumor clinical trials and a list of clinicians and centers throughout the USA, as well as in other parts of the world, with expertise in carcinoid/neuroendocrine cancer.
The foundation also has two websites devoted to aspects of living with neuroendocrine cancer: www.carcinoidsyndrome.org and www.prrtgalliumcenters.org.
Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, Support
The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation provides email support and a toll-free telephone line for information and support. CCF receives over 500 inquiries annually by phone and email with questions ranging from “How do I find a neuroendocrine cancer expert physician?” to “Can you help me locate a support group?” to specifics about the disease, We help people seeking a diagnosis, those who are newly diagnosed, people who have been living with the disease for many years, and loved ones.
Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, Luncheon with the Experts
In 2020 and 2021 the Foundation is presenting a weekly Facebook Live series, Luncheon with the Experts, featuring physicians and healthcare professionals, support group leaders, patients, and colleagues who are key opinion leaders in the neuroendocrine cancer community worldwide. This weekly series is presented via Facebook Live on Thursdays from 12 noon to 1 pm, Eastern Time. Join us for unique discussions on a wide variety of topics for everyone in the NET community!
