Jewish Museum of New Jersey Inc

Although the New Jersey Jewish Museum is currently in formation, the Museum has had a slide presentation on New Jersey Jewish history and is a sponsor of the local Holocaust Memorial Day observance. In October of 2005, we offered a program about the historic community of Roosevelt, New Jersey. More than 125 people attended the event at Ahavas Sholom, which featured a presentation by Borough historian Dr. Art Shapiro. In July, the Museum sponsored a concert at the Jazz in the Garden series of the Newark Museum. Jewish Museum trustees hosted an information table at the event. On October 29, 2006, the Museum conducted a Symposium for New Jersey Jewish historians. The keynote speaker was Amy Waterman, Executive Director of the Eldridge Street Project in New York. Representatives from around the State participated in the Symposium.
