Our programs

Ola Nā Kini
Ola Nā Kini is a year-round program designed to heal the land and sea through education and community engagement. Through this program and with the help of students, teachers, and volunteers, we grow and plant native Hawaiian and culturally significant plants and bring them to natural areas to restore the sites as living classrooms.
Wai Huihia Kumu Network
We coordinate a network of formal and informal educators who practice 'aina-based education to provide new ideas and skills, emotional support, and resources that in turn, strengthen the field of 'aina-based education.
Mālama ʻĀina Field School
The Mālama ʻĀina Field School (Field School) is designed to provide field-based activities linked to “in- class” learning that build skills for the 21st century and promote environmental and community health and resilience. Toward that end, the program engages students in meaningful learning opportunities so that they will be successful learners and contributors to their community and will begin to understand the role of 21st century konohiki (land manager). Teachers are also served in the Field School through professional development opportunities.
