What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Virtual Paws primary purpose is to alleviate the problem of homeless pets and end the practice of wanton euthanasia of healthy animals by providing the following services:
1. The creation and maintenance of a web site that will provide increased exposure for animals that are considered ?difficult-to-place, an opportunity for visitors to "virtually adopt" these "special animals" when physical adoption is undesirable or infeasible, an opportunity to "virtually adopt" feral animals that are unable to be placed, a list of links to other sites, including general pet care, humor and other points of interest for animal "parents", and a "Vets 4 Pets" service.
2. The creation and maintenance of the "Vets 4 Pets" service, consisting of a list of veterinarians that have donated specific services for rescue groups as a supplement to the "Vet Voucher" program.
3. The creation and maintenance of the "Vet Voucher" program to provide shelters with payment vouchers for the medical costs associated with rescue, including spay/neuter, preventative care and "special needs" treatment
4. The creation and distribution of age-appropriate educational materials on responsible pet ownership
