Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy Enrichment Studies

The Community Kollel works to excite and engage the middle and upper school students in their pursuit for Jewish knowledge and practice. We give both formal class presentations as well as work one on one with individual students who desire a more intense focus of study. We offer extra curricular education enrichment, directly after school and on weekends. We assist in developing Torah messages for the school newspaper, work with student council members to impress upon their boards the importance and relevance of Jewish teachings and facilitate lunch time discussion groups. We offer biweekly presentations during “mentoring hours,” regarding the depth and beauty of our heritage. Finally, we attend and contribute to the morning and afternoon services.

Population(s) Served

In a four week series, the Community Kollel leads a discussion group with Jewish teenagers, combining both Power Point presentations with authentic text-based study material.
