Mission

To broaden and develop the skills of chess players and to advance it as a beneficial element of Public Education. The corporation will work toward this end by offering instruction in the skills of chess for the purpose of improving or developing player’s capabilities in the game of chess. The corporation will provide playing opportunities, learning camps and game reviews in schools and other public places. The Corporation will cooperate with schools, chess clubs and other groups and institutions within Arizona in conducting tournaments and teaching chess. The corporation may be affiliated with the United States Chess Federation.

Sponsor a child for chess camp

Research shows test scores improved by 17.3% for students engaged in chess, compared with only 4.6% for children participating in other activities. Sponsor a child for chess camp. Studies have shown that chess education improves a student’s academic performance, problem solving skills, personal interaction skills and self-esteem. Our goal is to provide tuition free chess camp enrollment for a minimum of 10 students per year whose family cannot afford extracurricular activities.
