What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
The current focus of support is the Rubin-Zeffren Children?s Home in Netanya, which houses 100+ orphaned and disadvantaged girls from all over Israel. The Rubin-Zeffren Children?s Home was founded in 1962 by the late Grand Rabbi of Sanz Klausenberg, Rabbi Yekusiel Yehuda Halberstam, who lost his wife and 11 children in the Holocaust. After emigrating to Israel, he founded many social service organizations throughout Israel, including Laniado Hospital which is also located in Netanya. Rabbi Halberstam founded the Children?s Home shortly after 5 children were left abandoned on his doorstesocial, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of each girl as an individual, to enable optimal development and promote the achievement of every girl?s potential.
Lev LaLev sponsors clothing for school and holidays, books, toys, games, computers, recreational and educational trips, summer camp, tutoring, mental health services, tuition for higher education, holiday celebrations, birthday parties and other programs.
