Emergency flares are required equipment on most recreational boats, but most boaters don't know how to use them or when or why they should be used. In addition, pyrotechnic flares expire 42 months after manufacturing and need to be replaced on board and properly disposed of, but disposal options are limited. As an alternative, E-Flares are available and are a great replacement to traditional flares, plus they're approved to be used in place of traditional flares. And E-Flares never expire, either.
