BuildingAFRICA / HEAT
BuildingAFRICA serves as the backbone organization driving an innovative HEAT(TM) concept based on collective impact that encompasses healthcare, education, agriculture, and technology as the four ""pillars"" of a sustainable community with tight integration and synergy between these four vital areas; an extraordinary commitment to collaboration between BuildingAFRICA and its strategic partners in providing these services; and the efficient and coordinated delivery of these services through a central location. Primary functions include: Establishing an overall vision for the initiativeDeveloping and managing a common agendaDeveloping and coordinating operational processesEvaluating, coordinating and in some cases building InfrastructureDeveloping and guiding effective communicationsDetermining program measurement criteria in collaboration with partnersManaging design and construction of standalone, new facilities
HEAT: Healthcare
High-quality, high-impact, highly ethical pediatric and family-centered health care, health professional training, and clinical research focused on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, malnutrition, pneumonia, and other concurrent diseases impacting the health and well-being of children and families worldwide. HEAT: Education
Education-based solutions to human, economic and environmental security challenges through programs that inspire, train, and develop future jobholders, leaders and entrepreneurs while addressing critical aspects of at-risk communities and the conditions that can hinder learning and skills acquisition. Grassland restoration through holistic management combined with proper management of livestock to heal the land and empower herders to achieve significant increases in livestock herd yields that can be generated to assist rural communities in achieving economic self-sufficiency.
