What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Young people are abandoning the church, and subsequently their faith, in droves as they head off to college and adulthood. If this trend continues, there soon will be no one to take the mantle of leadership within local churches.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We want every church to develop young Christian leaders who love to share Jesus through authentic ministry experience. This is our vision.

Developing young Christian leaders is our passion. Since our inception in 2007, over 8,000 young people have been trained and released to lead in ministry, reaching over 75,000 with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Why are we so passionate about this? The Church is in need of more people who are truly leaders in ministry. These leaders are unafraid of sharing Jesus Christ with others, while being able to mobilize the Church, maximizing the impact made for Christ in the communities they live. Young leaders bring new vision and vitality. Where there is new vision and vitality paired with experience and training, effective ministry effort can take place, growing the local church. This is exactly what the Church needs and this is what Base intends to hand back to local churches as we work with young people.

1. Increase training accessibility. We have found that our training is valuable and effective in assisting the Church in developing young Christian leaders who can lead evangelistic ministry. Globally, our training is needed. Base will work to make our training more accessible so more people can take advantage of it.

2. Add more ministry opportunities. A great strength of Base Ministry is our ability to provide specific ministry opportunities that allow young people to test their newfound skills in a practical ministry setting. As we make our training more accessible, we will work hard to add even more variety to our ministry offerings, so that each church or individual going with us maximizes their time for their own spiritual formation and for the benefit of the ministry location they serve.

3. Deepen partnerships. We have some great relationships with ministry partners around the world and will continue to develop and deepen the relationships we already have while also activating new partnership opportunities.

We have a clearly defined mission: to empower young people to continually live and share their faith in Christ in the global communities they serve. We have a clearly defined method: we accomplish our mission by training and equipping with authentic ministry opportunities. Celebrating with young leaders who then take this back to their churches! These two things lead to a clearly defined outcome – what we offer back to the Church: more young Christian leaders who love to share Jesus.

We will leverage our staff and key ministry partnerships to maximize our opportunities and continue to grow this ministry. Our goal is simple: partner with local churches to train more young Christian leaders who will reach more children and youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have counted those trained in the thousands, we will now look to count these in the tens of thousands. We have seen tens of thousands reached with the message of Jesus, now we will press for hundreds of thousands.

Based on our indicators we are projected to train right around 1,500 young people in 2023.

Additionally, we will reach roughly 4,000 more through ministry led by these leaders. This indicates the leaders stepping out and sharing their faith with multiple people while engaged in Base-backed ministry opportunities.
