What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Cub Scouts

Cub Scouts is a year-round program for children K-5 years old, that offers fun activities that promote character and leadership development. Our program is designed to be hands-on, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in our programs.

Scouting embraces the outdoors through camping, hiking and water sports. We also focus on helping our communities through service projects, STEM development and building confident kids through our wide range of activities. The Cub Scout program is designed to develop physical, mental and emotional fitness. Fitness includes the body (well-tuned and healthy), the mind (able to think and solve problems), and the emotions (self-control, courage, and self-respect).

Population(s) Served

This is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

Population(s) Served

Exploring is a co-ed program that exists to teach important life and career skills to young people from all backgrounds through immersive career experiences and mentorship provided by community and business leaders. Together, we equip young people with character, leadership and life skills that can be used both today and in their future careers.

Exploring is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth and the organizations in their communities. Businesses and community organizations initiate a career-specific Explorer post or club by matching their people and organizational resources to the career interests of youth in the community. The result is a program of interactive activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, and develop.

Population(s) Served

Venturing is youth-led and youth-inspired inclusive program for males and females aged 14-21 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade) that aims to enable young adults to experience a program that is fun and full of challenge and adventure, acquire skills in the area of their crew's specialty, become a skilled training and program resource for other youth groups, experience positive leadership from adult and youth leaders and be given opportunities to take on leadership roles, learn to make ethical choices throughout their lives by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law, and have a chance to learn and grow in a supportive, caring, and fun environment.

The Venturing program emphasizes four main areas known as the A-L-P-S model:

Adventure - Mentoring, leading, and participating in crew-led adventures.
Leadership - Ongoing leadership development through training, mentoring, and hands-on leadership.
Personal Growth - Goal-setting in support of personal growth.
Service - Leading and participating in community service.
