YWCA Northern New Jersey is one of the area’s largest provider of child care and summer camps, a recognized leader in women and girls empowerment programs, racial justice programs, senior health and wellness programs, and operator of healingSPACE, Bergen County’s only Sexual Violence Resource Center.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The main goal of all YWCA Bergen County programming is to improve the lives of women and girls throughout Bergen County.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
All programming falls under one of our five pillars: Economic Empowerment, Racial Justice, Women’s Health, Youth Development, and, Violence Against Women. We maintain long-standing programming (such as child care) while implementing new initiatives, such as Empower U(university), a mentoring program, to meet the ever-changing needs of women and girls.
