Our programs

Youth Development
BGCA clubs serve school-age youth through a variety of programs including homework assistance, technology centers, teen centers, career exploration, job assistance, sports and recreation, art classes and leadership development. In addition to program development, Boys & Girls Clubs of America provides programmatic and executive training for Club professionals nationwide.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The Club aims to provide an impact in the lives of the youth we serve. A positive and resourceful Club experience that includes programming that measures its effectiveness while equipping our youth with the skills to advance in life.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1. Recruit, Train and Retain strong youth development professionals.\r\n2. Provide the needed supplies and equipment for our staff and kids to thrive in. \r\n3. Raise dollars and restrict them for program/staff development.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The Club has put a dedicated management team in place. A Board under development who are committed to the success of the organization.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
The Club is under the leadership of a CEO who has been in the Boys \u0026 Girls Club movement for 13 years. Has been with this organization for 8 and a half years. The Club is in the process of creating an impacting Club experience for all. We successfully re-opened the Club on June 1st, 2020 after closing for 75 days due to COVID-19. On June 1st when we re-opened we were the first Boys \u0026 Girls Club to re-open in Bergen County.
