How does this organization make a difference?

Overview

Self-reported by organization

ECHO provided over five thousand contacts with seniors from throughout the greater Mercer County area just in this last year, through more than 500 units of services.  ECHO has evolved into an effective avenue for providing seniors with information, an array of activities and other opportunities that empower them to remain independent, active, informed and connected.  ECHO's monthly newsletter, "ECHO News For The Very Young At Heart" is mailed to more than 275 seniors and aging network representatives each month.  ECHO's primary goal this year is to expand our outreach to local churches, organizing and coordinating presentations by aging and law enforcement representatives that will reach seniors that don't necessarily participate in other aging activities. It is our goal to prevent seniors from becoming victims of scams and other fraudulent activities of which they are so vulnerable.
