Mission
Old Songs, Inc. is a unique not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the community by presenting traditional music and dance year-round through festivals, concerts, contra dances, classes, and other educational programs. Old Songs consists of volunteers and staff working together to create events that expose new audiences to traditional music and dance. We provide professional opportunity for artists by presenting new talent and known talent, local talent and international talent. We partner with other community organizations on educational, historic preservation, agricultural, and other programs. Through fostering traditional music and dance in today's lives, this participatory artistic and cultural expression is kept alive for future generations.

What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Old Songs, Inc. presents a monthly concert series from September through May serving approximately 1500 people. We present six contra dances a year serving about 600 people. Our two semesters of acoustic instrument instruction averages 80 students a year. The annual 3 day festival of traditional music and dance held the last full weekend of June since 1981 presents cross cultural music of the world, America and our region. The festival serves 5000 each year.
Wednesdays are Make Your Own Music nights with Open Mic, Irish Slow Session, Drum Circle and Old-Time Jam.
Arts in Education artist support for programs in the local school districts twice a year.
