Land Protection
Land Protection Mission: To increase the pace and assure the quality of land protection in the greater Willistown area.
Rushton Community Farm
Rushton Community Farm's Mission:
* To demonstrate through sustainable agricultural practices how a six acre farm can grow approximately 25,000 pounds of non-certified organic produce a year.
* To promote the importance of farming in concert with the environment recognizing agricultural practices that can benefit the surrounding ecosystem and watersheds.
* To provide educational programs, internships and apprenticeships for aspiring farmers.
* To support outreach programs for under-served communities.
* To share the bounty by donating approximately ten percent of the produce to local food banks.
Bird Conservation
Bird Conservation Program Mission:
* To promote the conservation of breeding, migrating, and wintering populations of local birds.
* To use scientific research and education to demonstrate the importance of conserving our natural areas.
* To connect people with land and nature to inspire thoughtful stewardship of the environment.
Habitat Restoration
Habitat Restoration Program Mission: To restore and enhance natural habitat for birds and other wildlife, improve the quality of local streams and assist landowners with ecologically sound land management strategies.

WCT’s strategic goals are as follows: (1) to preserve an additional 4,000 acres of undeveloped land; (2) to restore and manage critical wildlife habitat; (3) to educate the public and land trusts about the environmental benefits of local, sustainable food production; and (4) to promote environmentally responsible stewardship of private properties.
