Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Adult Day Services Center
The YWCA Bethlehem Adult Day Services Center works with families to provide the best professional care for seniors. We understand that families need better options for parents or grandparents suffering from debilitating conditions associated with memory impairment as well as the physical challenges of aging. We pride ourselves on providing the utmost dignity and respect to Lehigh Valley seniors and their families.
TechGYRLS Afterschool STEM Program
TechGYRLS Afterschool STEM Program delivers high-quality, hands-on STEM education to girls ages 9 - 13 in the Bethlehem Area School District. The goal of the program is to increase STEM skills and knowledge, introduce girls to educational and career possibilities in the STEM fields, introduce girls to female professional in STEM fields, and increase self-confidence among participants. The long-term goal is to increase the representation of women in STEM career fields.
YWeBUILD Afterschool Program
WeBUILD is a hands-on education and empowerment program for girls in 7th - 12th grades that introduces them to all aspects of the contractor and construction trades through hands-on activities, on-site training and mentorship.
LGPA-USGA Girls Golf Program
Since 2003, YWCA Bethlehem has hosted LPGA-USGA Girls Golf in the Lehigh Valley to provide golf instruction, skill development, and an opportunity for friendly competition to girls ages 7 - 17. Participants learn the fundamentals of the game, sports etiquette, and discipline under local PGA Pros.
Pop-Up Prom Shop
Teens and their parents can shop smart for prom at our annual Pop-Up Shop. Families save hundreds of dollars in prom expenses thanks to generous donors from across the Lehigh Valley.
Women & Teens of the Year Awards
As the longest running event honoring local women, we celebrate the volunteerism and community service from committed women and girls in the Bethlehem community. The event features the presentation of awards and scholarships, sponsorship recognition, raffle and a silent auction where proceeds benefit programming for women and girls. YWCA Bethlehem announced new teen scholarships for 2021 that recognize the diversity of today's young women and their educational paths.
Community Voices

- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
