Mission Statement

The Peralta Colleges Foundation is an independent 501 (C) (3) nonprofit auxiliary to the Peralta Community College District. The Foundation supports academic excellence and success throughout the District by building partnerships in the region to raise funds for scholarships to committed students and financial support to the four district colleges.

THE PERALTA PROMISE - Better Educational and Career Outcomes for Local Students

THE PERALTA PROMISE is a community-wide movement that incorporates the local 'Promise Initiatives' for Oakland, Berkeley and Alameda and ensures that every student graduates high school with the expectations, resources, and skills to complete college and be successful in the career of his or her choice.

THE PERALTA PROMISE removes the financial obstacles that a student faces in achieving their goals by making the first semester at a Peralta College FREE. Student awards cover Enrollment, Use, Health and Transit fees for eligible students enrolled at Laney College, Merritt College, College of Alameda and Berkeley City College.
