What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Career Beginnings
Career Beginnings is a college access program for under-represented students in public schools to provide general college knowledge, mentoring, workshops on college preparation, college counseling, and application assistance for students who generally are first-generation college applicants. It serves more than 500 students annually and offers over 100 adult mentors.
Consortium Membership
The Consortium offers member institutions the opportunity to share knowledge and resources, undertake joint planning, provide course tuition remission to employees and participate in joint learning and advocacy efforts in support of higher education.
Graduate! CT
Only the second of its kind in the country, Graduate! CT provides adult learners with some college credit information, counseling and resources to return to school and complete their degrees. It serves up to 500 adults annually.
Faculty Grants
The Hartford Consortium provides small grants to faculty and staff at member insitutions to undertake special projects and research not funded in other ways, that will benefit the higher education community and Hartford at large.
