Overview

Self-reported by organization

The Santa Clara
Ballet  has persevered to bring us the
Annual Nutcracker since 1973 despite shrinking funding.  Providing vital cultural programming,
enriching the community and our young dancers and enhancing the profile of the
City of Santa Clara, Santa Clara Ballet fills a void in the local education districts
where both music and dance classes have been cut or reduced.  Santa Clara Ballet provides young children a
safe environment  for artistic
expression, as they learn dedication, discipline and perseverance by performing
in a professional environment.  Our
fundraising efforts center on initiatives to ensure the future of our
Nutcracker and to provide opportunities for children who would otherwise not
have the means to learn ballet.

“Keep the Magic Alive” Nutcracker Fund: to support the
preservation, design, and creation of costumes, sets, and other production
expenses for Santa Clara Ballet’s annual Nutcracker In 2013, Santa Clara Ballet
will celebrate its 40th annual Nutcracker season. Your donation of $40 or more
in honor of our 40th Nutcracker will help support the “Keep the Magic Alive”
Nutcracker Fund.

Santa Clara Ballet Scholarship Fund to support the cost of
ballet training and Nutcracker Participation fees for students of all ages and
abilities who would not otherwise have the opportunity to have their lives
enriched by this great art.
