What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Programs

YWCA HOUSING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES: provides emergency and transitional housing to those who are homeless or near homeless in our community. Also provides rental assistance, referrals for services (mental health, etc) and direct service (ie. budget counseling, group sessions). St. James House, a shelter for homeless women and children, provides families with emergency shelter for up to 90 days. FUN FACTORY: a pre-school program for children ages 2-5 years. Focuses on early learning (colors, shapes, reading, social skills, etc) SUMMER FOOD SERVICE: provides balanced meals to area children free of cost during the summer months. Our gym is open during this time with activities provided (play-dough and creative games, basketball,etc)

Population(s) Served

The Fun Factory Pre-K program serves area children ages 4 and 5 in a quality educational setting. The program runs through the school year and offers summer enrichment sessions. Scholarships are available through the United Way.

Population(s) Served

The St. James House shelter is open to women and children who are homeless. The shelter houses up to 21 residents in a warm, community setting. Residents can stay at the shelter for up to 90 days while they seek employment and permanent housing.
