Mission

At One Simple Wish we believe that every child deserves love, hope and joy. Every year nearly 500,000 children are impacted by abuse, neglect and trauma and spend time in our nation’s foster care system. It can be lonely, confusing and a bit scary. Through our innovative wish-granting platform, you can send some love to a child who needs it. When wishes come true, kids not only have a chance to just be kids, but they can also make important connections, experience new things and find their passion! 500,000+ kids spend time in foster care each year. 100,000+ kids are waiting to be adopted. 22,000+ young people age out without stable, permanent connections. We are here for them all!

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

One Simple Wish believes every child deserves a joyful childhood and should have access to the resources and connections that make that possible. Our goal is to ensure that children in foster care don't miss out on joyful, educational and enriching childhood experiences just because they are in the foster care.

We also believe that the way to encourage the masses to get involved in supporting kids in foster care is to show them the stories of the children in a positive way, not by attempting to portray children as victims. These children are survivors.

We educate people about foster care and them empower them to do something direct and meaningful for the children who need more support.

One Simple Wish has an amazing website that aims to educate and empower. In addition, we hold Wish Parties in cities around the US that are fun and informative and give the public a chance to support our kids and to learn about their needs in a way that does not further exploit or victim them.

Our wish granting program online makes it simple for anyone to make a difference, directly and immediately and from anywhere.

One Simple Wish's Founder & Executive Director is foster/adoptive parent and knows firsthand the issues facing children in foster care and is a well-respected and highly regarded member of the child welfare community.

In addition, the staff is well educated on the needs of children and takes a positive approach to serving the children.

Our website is maintained by a cutting edge firm that ensures all practices used are the most efficient available.

Over 1,600 Community Partnerships have been created across 48 states and over 10,000 children benefit from our services annually.
