The mission of CASA of SoLA is to recruit and support carefully selected quality community volunteers. In an effort to find each child a safe, nurturing, and permanent home, these volunteers are trained to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court.

CASA of SoLA

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) are trained volunteers that speak on behalf of an abused child in court. These volunteers go through a 30 hour training class and have to maintain 12 hours of training yearly. CASA volunteers are officers of the court, that are appointed by judges to be the ears and eyes of the court. CASA volunteers work as quickley as possible to help place a child in a safe and permenant home.
