Population(s) Served

This foundation was founded by the will of two parents who had a little girl named Scarlett who was born with a serious heart defect. The father Todd Goetz, a local police office and mother, Sarah Goets a 911 operator were very fortunate that their local community stepped in to help with their medical bills when this catastrophe occurred. They had the desire to form a foundation to help families in trouble with their children on medical issues. At about the same time, Teresa Coldwell, the secretary of Readytohelp.org and the Mother of Michael Coldwell, creator of readytohelp.org and wife of Terry Coldwell, treasurer of readytohelp.org, had her own medical emergency and ended up dying. With the Goetz family wanting to create a foundation to help kids and the tragedy of the loss of a Readytohelp member it was decided that forming the foundation under the Readytohelp umbrella made since.
