BrokeButNotForLong, Inc., is a charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists the unemployed find jobs, training, networking opportunities, mental health information, and financial resources via our website, blog, and Twitter account. We advocate for employers to use the various tax incentives on hiring and to adopt universal design procedures to be inclusive of handicapped workers. Additionally, we provide technical assistance to job seekers and workforce development agencies, especially for workers with disabilities, veteran status, ex offenders, and displaced workers. This support includes online mentoring, demonstrations on how to use social media as a career tool, motivational speaking, fostering internships, and workforce Web site development.

Online Employment Social Network Project
We offer free, online, job-related services for the unemployed via our Website, blog, and twitter account. Our goal is to promote and expand our online services to assist the individuals on the Gulf Coast who are facing job loss and subsequent financial hardship due to the economy and the recent oil spill. We joined the Mobile Chamber of Commerce to get involved with the local workforce development and to establish ourselves as a reputable Internet-based organization. We are a mom-and-pop nonprofit that has been able to reach thousands of Website visitors around the world but the local community is unaware of our reliable resources. To this end, we joined the local Chamber of Commerce and have been networking with local businesses to promote our resources and advocate for hiring.
