Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Injustice is destroying God's sons & daughters. The root of injustice is spiritual, while the nature of injustice is relational. As the Church, we fight to restore these relationships.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
We are the Church.
We have various ongoing initiatives & weekly gatherings that are heavily focused on the communities directly surrounding our base. Our primary hope is to see people encounter the radical love of God, be restored into His family, walk in their true identity, & pursue justice in their communities.
However, our first & primary ministry is unto the Lord. We believe that Jesus & His presence changes everything. We regularly gather to thank Him, praise Him, & worship Him which centers & aligns our lives.
We prioritize meeting together to fellowship & grow. We meet weekly as a body - collectively & in targeted age groups. Gatherings are hosted both on the Poetice Base, in homes & in the community.
We train the Church.
We are equipping the global Body of Christ for a life-long pursuit of His Kingdom while teaching them how to fully understand their true identity & how to actively pursue their true vocation. Through various training programs, events, camps, & gatherings we are equipping & activating the Church to transform cities around the world.
In addition to these training programs, we intentionally pursue opportunities to influence & invest in individuals who are running hard after God’s heart both inside & outside of our local church body. We host various events & conferences focused on training leaders, pastors, & ministers from Choma, Southern Africa, & many other nations. These special events equip others with tools & provide critical encouragement to sustain their love for the Lord & their continuous, fervent work of the Kingdom. Our hope is that these events build unity & momentum around what God is already doing on earth right now.
We host various short-term trips.
We host a variety of short-term trips throughout the year for individuals from the USA to engage in our ongoing ministry work in Zambia. These trips are focused on carrying out our vision for the city of Choma.
We operate additional expressions.
Poetice Expressions are stand-alone extensions of our ongoing ministry efforts in Zambia & increase our exposure throughout the city. Impacting multiple spheres of society, our various expressions are intentionally demonstrating what the Kingdom looks, tastes, sounds & feels like.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Poetice exists to empower the Church to fight for justice. Injustice is what we are fighting against but it’s people who we are fighting for. We envision the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.
WE ARE FIGHTING FOR THE LOST.
The “lost” is a word that typically defines those who are living life without Jesus. Whether they know of Him & choose not to follow Him or have never heard His name, we see this as an injustice. God purchased us though we didn’t deserve it. His judgment came through mercy & compassion through the life, death, & resurrection of Jesus. The world needs to know about His amazing grace. Jesus paid it all. But what about the “found”? Many of us acknowledge Jesus with our lips, but deny him with our life & everyday actions. Both groups are completely lost.
WE ARE FIGHTING FOR THE VULNERABLE.
Billions of people are ill-equipped to be productive citizens in their communities. This makes them vulnerable to other evils. The orphan who has no access to education, the widow who lacks a skill to provide for her family, & the neglected who have never been given the chance to learn how to function in society are often lost, oppressed, sick, & poor.
WE ARE FIGHTING FOR THE OPPRESSED.
Our adversary comes only to steal, kill, & destroy God’s people. All over the world those in positions of power prey on the weak for personal gain. The love of money is the root of all evil & this manifests itself as many different kinds of exploitation. Humans are objectified, enslaved, & robbed of their dignity… simply for money. In North America, the enemy uses attacks like apathy, indifference, & self-indulgence to keep us from being the image bearers & co-creators we were meant to be. Humanity was made for freedom but billions live oppressed every day.
WE ARE FIGHTING FOR THE SICK.
Whether it’s HIV in Southern Africa or mental illness in North America, people are sick & in desperate need of healing. Addiction, anxiety, & depression are the major causes of suicide. These people often lack access to medical knowledge & adequate healthcare that can both prevent disease & lead to their healing. As for those who will never see complete healing this side of heaven, God has a plan & can turn our pain into purpose. We were made to be whole. Even if we are never cured, everyone can experience healing.
WE ARE FIGHTING FOR THE POOR.
The bottom billion live on less than $2 per day. Single mothers & ALICE (Asset-limited, income constrained, employed) families are one disaster away from homelessness. Where a person is born & life’s unfortunate circumstances shouldn’t define who a person is. Over 2,000 scriptures in the bible speak to God’s heart & concern for the poor & how generosity & empowerment can break the cycle of poverty in a person’s life. Some of the most influential people in the world ascended from an impoverished reality. A hand up, rather than a hand out can help them discover their true identity & vocation in the world.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
PREPARE
We prepare the Church through gatherings, learning communities, immersion experiences, & JUST + US.
PARTNER
We partner by working through a global family of justice-seeking churches.
PLANT
We plant justice-seeking churches around the world where injustice prevails.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are the justice-seeking Church. The Church is God’s primary agent to bring peace, justice & love to a broken world. The Church was made to be a Holy Spirit led, giant-slaying force of justice in the world armed with the power & authority of Jesus.
Our team is comprised of Jesus followers from around the world from various denominational backgrounds unified by a single pursuit of “Kingdom Over Everything”. We long to see His Kingdom come, His will be done, on Earth, as it is in Heaven and we are ALL IN.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Poetice has greatly impacted the lives of tens of thousands of individuals around the globe. Through our work, we've seen lives radically transformed and relationships restored. New churches and organizations have been launched as a result of our influence and our desire is to continue on our journey to empower the Church to fight for justice all around the world.
