Mentoring

WIA's program is unique in that we offer group mentoring in cluster groups instead of one-on-one. We have found the mutual benefits to be greatly increased in a cluster setting where more often than not, mentees are also able to help one another tackle professional and sometimes personal issues. Ultimately, the hope is that through the support and encouragement of the mentors, coupled with skill and leadership development, these women will be empowered and equipped to advance their careers to new levels, lift up the women around them and to shatter the “glass ceiling” one pane at a time.

Population(s) Served

WIA's curriculum is designed to give mentees the tactical tools and skillsets that our mentors believe have been pivotal in their own professional success. Ment-Mixes, Clusters and Pop-Ups afford mentees a unique opportunity to gain insights from senior female leaders on topics ranging from negotiation to difficult conversations in the workplace. Mentees can immediately apply these lessons to their current positions and with the ongoing support and guidance of both mentors and peers alike, mentees are empowered and emboldened to do what they do best...lead.

Population(s) Served

It's no secret that some of the world's most successful business leaders are incredible networkers. The ability to build meaningful relationships and a support network in the workplace and beyond is critical for job ascension. Every WIA Ment-Mix begins with a networking hour where mentees are encouraged to make connections and learn about their fellow members. Our goal for them is to create a support network that includes women from all industries and backgrounds who can be called upon for years to come.
