Invigorating Inspiring Community

What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Synagogue
Shabbat Morning Services are a spiritually inspiring experience including singing, English readings, traditional Torah readings and thought provoking Torah discussions followed by a sit down Shabbat kiddush lunch
We provide Hebrew and English prayer books, a Tallis (or Tallit), a sing along booklet.
You can expect the Rabbi to welcome you and help you feel welcome at the service.
Family Programs
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The powerful community we have built together far exceeds the impact of any of our individual programs. We are not merely independent members of a local neighborhood; we are a part of one family, united by our goal in building a strong Jewish community.
Let’s celebrate the family we have built together.
Adult Education
You can choose from a large selection of classes, from beginner to advanced levels. Many classes are held every week, allowing you to discover your roots through Torah Study classes in a wide range of topics. The courses and classes are open to all regardless of background or affiliation. The study of Torah is just a short distance away.
Holiday Programs
Do you ever take road trips? Do you notice how you are forever looking at the road signs that say "987 miles to Anywhere, USA"? Or, "next rest area 254 miles"?
The "Road Trip" is the journey of life, with all its valleys and hills, bumpy and smooth roads, and exciting and occasionally not so exciting attractions along the way. The "Road Signs" are the Jewish holidays. Some of the holidays let us know that we need to slow down and look inside ourselves. Perhaps we went the wrong way and need to make a U-Turn. At times we need to just speed up, and just maybe our destination is at hand and its time to rejoice.
With the unique spirituality of Chabad philosophy, the holiday experience with Harford Chabad is unique and enjoyable. Always informative, always spiritual and always an energizing experience.
Please visit our website to identify where we are on this years road trip. Perhaps you'll join us at one of our rest areas for a short visit or perhaps you might stay awhile.
Wishing you a safe and meaningful journey
Hebrew and Religious School and Youth Programming
For youth th hebrew school is providing a stimulating yet friendly environment where children embrace their Jewish roots and gain a true sense of Jewish pride, no matter their level of observance or affiliation. Children, ages five through thirteen, acquire a broad knowledge of Judaism through a motivating and challenging venue. Our students gain an appreciation for the joys, values and traditions of our heritage as it is vividly brought to life by the dedicated and enthusiastic teachers whose creativity and dynamism make every lesson a unique learning experience.
Our teen program provides a nurturing environment where teens can learn about themselves through giving to others, identify with individuals who share the same faith, and will be part of a group that focuses on building core values and stresses positive character development.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to bring people closer to connect to the Jewish faith and to their heritage. We do this by having our staff create personal connections. Our Rabbi is a personal Rabbi to many.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
By reaching out to people of all faiths connecting with all segments of the community and being a community resource to all, we connect with Jewish people of all backgrounds including interfaith and unaffiliated families.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
While we are our own 501(c)3 and are funded locally and not by a central organization we share certain resources and have over 3000 similar "Chabad Houses" to learn from.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have grown the Hebrew School, adult education offerings and religious services as well as continue to provide spiritual guidance, recovery counseling etc. to people of all faiths.
