Himalayas by Hand
Himalayas by Hand is an initiative of Ethne Global Services to provide Bhutanese refugee women in the San Francisco Bay Area an opportunity to market their craft that has been passed down from generation to generation. We believe in empowering our artisans, designing quality accessories, and protecting our natural environment.
Ethne Refuge
Ethne Refuge is an adult ESL program we created in response to the State of California budget cuts to adult ESL classes. Our teachers are trained and certified to Teach English as a Second Language. We currently offer classes once/week on Fridays at 2:30pm in Oakland. We are planning to expand the program into a job training internship program, which will continue to include vocational English training as well as employment in a refugee run and operated Coffee House near Lake Merritt.
