Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Children and Youth Program
After School Program- provides tutoring, group activities and a nutritious meal every day from 2:00- 6:00 Afro-centrism and Service.
Camp Harambee- week long camp for 13-17 year old youth. Emphasis on team building, anger management, engagement in success/failure, and communications.
Boy Scouts-Troop 30 one of the oldest Boy Scout troops
Girl Scouts-Girls meet weekly to develop, and grow, have fun and particiate in group activites.
Human and Community Development
Intake Assesseting familiy's needs and informing them of opportunities for training and additional support.
People Taking Charge (PTC)- Women embracing life changing principles for success.
Male Awareness- Men empowering men through weekly meetings and activities.
Wesley Employment Development Skills Training
Family Formation- assessment to support families; in collaboration with The Dayton Urban League.
Food Pantry-food provided for those in need.
Clothing Room- clothing provided to indiviudals and families.Program to improve relationships between youth (10-14 yrs) and their families.
Senior Services and Transportation
Senior Activities- providing activites such as ceramics, jewerly making, quiliting, exercise, Bible study, computer classes, and movies, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 case management and personal assistance transportation.
Transportation
Transportoration to senior meals sites to 8 to 20 senior nutrion sites in Montgomery County.
Medicaid Transportation- to doctor's appointements and other needs
Medical Transportation- on behalf of Area of Agency on Agency to medical appointments.
Personal Assistance- for Frail Elderly Seniors
United Way Transportation- including medical ,shopping, banking and socialization.
