What we aim to solve
Global Deeds Foundation targets under-performing high schools located within low-income communities in order to present possible solutions to the problem of under-prepared students in the new economy who are often left behind in the job market. Through strategic curriculum development and our networking platform, we anticipate increasing the number of high school students who graduate with a highly competitive set of entrepreneurial, technical and soft/ interpersonal skills under their belt.

Background
Due to the unparalleled importance of the teaching profession, Global Deeds Foundation has developed a way to provide public high school teachers and instructors within community centers, with extra human resources that assist them with lesson plans, managing the classroom, and tutoring students after school, particularly those with learning disabilities. The best way to assist low-income youth with their education is by ensuring that teachers are performing to the best of their ability.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our vision involves targeting a total of 41 low-income/poor cities within the United States and abroad, and creating a ripple effect over time. Ultimately, our training will create a plethora of financially stable young individuals in the near future who are both technically savvy and civically engaged.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
With our collaborative network of corporate sponsors and advocates within 41 cities, we will cultivate enthusiasm in the next generation and ultimately reduce poverty rates in the Global Deeds community and beyond one school, one teacher and one student at a time. Global Deeds Foundation developed the Systemic Advancement Model (SAM) in order to use the power of modern education and employment to lift young people out of poverty, while working in collaboration with public schools, teachers and corporations.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Global Deeds Foundation is an exceedingly resourceful organization that knows how to maximize the use of volunteer assistance and collaboration in order to achieve the best results. Our passionate and highly driven team and partners, for the most part, have been directly affected by the issues we are tackling. Our desire to do this work is paired with over 100 years of collective professional experience within the fields of education, business, computer science, engineering, and nonprofit management. Additionally, highly reputable educational institutions, organizations and corporations have provided their support since day one. We also embrace the importance of "organizational evolution" in order to best serve our constituents. In an effort to create systemic advancement within public education and the workforce, we must continue to learn, adapt and evolve as an organization with the constant guidance from our highly successful advisors.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Global Deeds Foundation has received incredible support from different companies, institutions and professionals, such as Harvard University, in addition to in-kind donations of prime real estate space, technical resources, pro-bono legal services, musical events, storage, among several other forms of assistance.
Although at first our organization's mission and vision differed from what it is today, we always worked in support of low-income and at-risk youth. After the financial crisis of 2009, students started to continuously express their need for obtaining work after school. For this reason, Global Deeds was re-branded and transformed into a much more structured organization that aims at establishing systemic advancement through assisting public schools, teachers and corporations in the process of lifting youth out of poverty by using modern education and employment.
We are working to serve over 82 high schools/ community learning centers, 164,000+ students, 1,300 teachers and 1,000 high quality businesses/ nonprofits by 2022, all of which will be empowered to create an inmensurable and truly positive ripple effect involving turned-around schools, employed/engaged teens, and corporate social responsibility. This effort officially started in 2016 at Lawrence High School in Massachusetts, and other students from different high schools have participated, such as Salem High School, Lynn Classical High School, a community computer lab in Santo Domingo (Dom. Rep.) and schools in Boston.
We continuously work to improve our development efforts and in providing the best services to public high schools, teachers and students. Corporations will also benefit from the excellent training of students who will seek work/employment after school.
