Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Alzheimer Support
The Association's office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 support services and referral to special Association programs and/or community resources.
Safe Return: A nationwide safety program designed to identify individuals who are memory impaired. A 24 hourtoll free line enables police and private citizens to return lost individuals to their homes. 98% success ratio
Family Support Groups: Groups for family and caregivers and friends who meet monthly in community settings throughout the chapter area, facilitated by a family caregiver and/or professional with emphasis on peer support.
In-Home Support: An interdisciplinary team including a social worker, a nurse and an occupational therapist offering home safety evaluations, assessments of psychosocial, physical and functional needs, behavior management training, long term planning, education and support.
Education:
1. Annual Fall Professional Conference for professionals
2. Caregiver Series: education series for designed for both caregivers who's loved one has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and for caregivers coping with the middle to later stages of dementia;
3. First Fridays: Monthly lunch and lecture series for tose interested in caregiving; Alzheimer's disease and other dementias;
4. Health Fairs.
