Training and Technical Assistance

United Way of Kentucky provides consultation, board training, strategic planning facilitation, organizational assessment, technical assistance, networking opportunities and staff/volunteer training to the local United Ways in Kentucky. Through our efforts, local United Way organizations are encouraged to develop or enhance the skills necessary to provide community capacity building, efficient and cost-effective fund raising, and to promote the efforts of highly-qualified local volunteers.

United Way of Kentucky advances the common good for local Kentucky communities through its administration of the Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign and the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Campaign, which, in total, support six state-wide federated charities and 21 local United Ways, raising more than $1.2 million to support human services in the Commonwealth.

As President of United Way of Kentucky, Kevin Middleton leads a non-profit membership association of United Ways which seeks to enhance the effectiveness of the 22 local United Ways in the Commonwealth through fundraising, training, consultation, networking and advocacy. Kevin has ten years of United Way experience and over 17 years of experience in non-profit management.
