What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Leadership & Self-Organization

We nurture new forms of leadership, leading by example and providing a learning context for the new world of distributed, adaptive leadership. Our Powers of Leadership retreat series has served 100s of leaders from a wide range of sectors over 20 years.

We address culture and mindset with Powers of Leadership, moving from heirarchies to ecosystems and ushering in the collaborative, interdependent planetary era. We look to Thomas Berry and the Universe Story for inspiration.

We address systems and structures, using Holacracy for constitutionally-defined distributed leadership and adopting a Symbiotic Enterprise structure to prioritize both the pursuit of our organizational purpose and the wellbeing of the people that energize the Whidbey Institute's work.
