Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Public Education

Through our education opportunities and resources, we provide the groundwork for understanding the complexities of homelessness so that our community can work towards sustainable solutions. For nearly twenty years, GCCH has been providing educational opportunities to churches, companies, schools and universities in Cincinnati.

Population(s) Served

Streetvibes is a newspaper that covers the issues of homelessness, social justice, and poverty. It is easily the most recognizable educational tool that GCCH offers.

Population(s) Served

Streetvibes Distributors purchase papers for 75 cents and sell them to the public for a $2.00 donation, keeping the profit they have earned.

Population(s) Served

In order to end homelessness we must have enough affordable housing. This includes preserving the affordable housing we currently have.

Population(s) Served

Affordable housing is the solution to homelessness. Currently Hamilton County, Ohio has a shortage of more than 40,000 affordable homes.

Population(s) Served

By coordinating services within the community, we help our member agencies provide their services, share their resources, and work with the homeless population.

Population(s) Served

Homelessness is a systematic problem primarily caused by a lack of housing that is affordable to households with incomes below the area median income. This systematic problem results in a range of significant personal hardships for those experiencing it. As people become more vulnerable and exposed; the politics, opinions and laws pertaining to where people who are housed believe people who are not housed can and cannot be and conduct life, increase. Because homelessness is a systematic problem, it can only be solved through systematic changes and solutions.
