Mission

Christlife Ministries is an independent, non-denominational, 501c3 program dedicated to the discipleship and restoration of ex-offenders, their families, and the imprisoned. Our mission begins with turning the hearts, minds, and souls of parents to their children and restoring respect for human life along with property and community. Our goal is to transform and empower this segment of our population, one family at a time.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Phase One of our program is bringing Beacon Behind Bars into Colorado prisons to develop candidates for the ranch aftercare program. Our programs cover three areas: Men's and Women's Ministry, Children's Ministry, and Individual and Group Counseling Ministry. The Men's and Women's ministry focuses on breaking a cycle of failure by learning new patterns of behavior and obtaining new skills, including marketable job skills. Our Individual and Group Counseling offers Bible Based support for men, women, and children. Our counseling ministry includes marriage and family, substance abuse, physical abuse, co-dependent/idolatrous relationships, financial counseling, child rearing/training, deliverance counseling and career counseling. Our Children's Ministry emphasizes understanding and establishing Christian family practices, developing personal spiritual relationships, and offering healthy recreational activities.

Population(s) Served

Christlife Ministries brings a school of theology into Colorado State Prisons.  Classes meet for one week per month of intense lecture-style study.  The lecture series is followed by an exam.  Each class is 3 credits and costs $36 including textbook and syllabus.  Students can take up to 10 classes per year.  Sponsors are required for student to take classes.  Sponsors pay the $360 per year and receive monthly grade reports.  Students may communicate with their sponsors through the Christlife Ministries office.  We have more than 100 students on our waiting list for sponsors.
