Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We want to bring the message about the importance of the first nine months of life and the long-term impacts of experiences from that developmental period on each individual's life - and the impacts on society as a whole to a world-wide audience.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Development of our education department and outreach into universities.
Expansion of our annual regional conferences and biannual international congresses.
Expansion of our journal into universities around the world.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a dynamic, primarily volunteer, board of directors who work to implement our programs while maintaining the highest level of integrity on all levels.
Our members are active and passionate about the associations goals
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We are attracting younger members to serve on our board.
We have grown from a membership of about 200 in 2014 to a current membership of around 600.
A educational program for expectant parents will be launched in 2018 to complement our current program for professionals.
A Regional Conference in 2018 is targeted to attract 200 plus participants. This will be followed by a 2019 International Congress targeting attendance of 500.
