Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County

The Clubs serve youth ages 6-18 in five major program areas in support of the mission statement and in direct response to community needs. The five core program areas are:
(1) Character & Leadership Development programs including Keystone & Torch Clubs and Youth of the Year, empower youth to support and influence their Club and community, sustain meaningful relationships, develop a positive self-image, participate in the democratic process and respect their own and others' cultural identities.
(2) Education and Career Development programs including Power Hour, Project Learn, Money Matters, Goals for Graduation, Career Launch, NetSmartz and Skill Tech, enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, apply learning to everyday situations & embrace technology to achieve success in a career.
(3) Sports & Recreation programs like Triple Play, Sozo Lean, and sports teams/leagues develop fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.
(4) Health and Life Skills programs such as Smart Moves, Smart Girls, Passport to Manhood and Date Smart help to develop young people's capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.
(5) The Arts programs like Image Makers and Music Makers enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.
