What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Undergraduate

Big-school choices and small school personal attention make CCSJ a great place to study, learn, and succeed. Our students have a choice of more than 20 majors. Our program of general education requirements integrates what students learn in the core liberal arts and sciences disciplines.

Population(s) Served

CCSJ's Degree Completion Programs are designed to meet the educational needs of adults unable to complete their degree in the traditional manner. Adults with two years of transferable college credit can earn their degree in 12 to 24 months depending on the program. The programs are designed for maximum convenience for the life of the busy adult. All programs feature:
-Up to 35% of cost covered by program scholarships
-Credit awarded for work and life experience
-Small learning groups of peers who remain together throughout the core program
-Qualified faculty with experience in their fields
-Multiple locations in NWI & Chicagoland
-Books are included with tuition
-Multiple financial aid options

Cluster groups of approximately 15 adult learners meet once or twice a week for 4 hours and remain together for the entire program. A comprehensive curriculum of 14 modules provides students with about 12 to 24 months (depending on program) of concentrated studies. In addition, each student must draw on coursework, library resources and prior experience to complete an integrative project.

Population(s) Served

In 2002, Calumet College of St. Joseph started its first graduate program, Master of Science in Law Enforcement Administration. Since that time we have added three more graduate programs: Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Science in Leadership in Teaching and a Master of Science in Management. Subsequently, the Law Enforcement Administration degree was revised and is now the Public Safety Administration. These four masters programs provide students with the skills, knowledge and dispositions to confront the challenges of their perspective careers as well as affect change in their professions.
