Mission Statement

Founded in 1973, the Fischoff National Chamber Music Association has been promoting chamber music via its annual National Competition and other various programs. It annually attracts young emerging chamber ensembles from the nation's top music schools and conservatories. The Competition awards over $35,000 in prize money. Fischoff also sponsors an annual Arts-in-Education Residency, chamber music coaching and Artist of the Month programs for high school students, and Peer Ambassadors for Chamber Music program for 2nd and 3rd graders.

Program 1

The Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition features 250 of the finest young chamber musicians from all over the country. They range in age from 10 to 35. Some of the younger competitors make presentations to 2nd and 3rd graders as part of the Peer Ambassadors for Chamber Music program. The Grand Prize Winner performs a Tour of major midwestern cities and educational programs. Fischoff's annual Arts-in-Education Residency reaches 1,500 young people with educational music programs for pre-school through high school. Local high school musicians are recognized through Fischoff's Artist of the Month program.

BIO

Ann Divine was appointed Fischoff's Executive Director in 1994, and the organization has experienced tremendous growth ever since. She received her undergraduate degree in Music Education from Indiana University South Bend, and her Master of Arts degree in Music History from Andrews University. She has taught music history and voice at various area colleges for more than 20 years.
