What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Community Organizing - Issue Based Campaigns
JCUA pursues social and economic justice for Chicago’s most vulnerable people by mobilizing our members to work with organizations and in coalitions on pressing social justice issues in Chicago. No other Jewish organization in Chicago is using a community organizing model to advance systemic change on domestic issues with a local focus.
Community Development
Through the Community Ventures Program (CVP), JCUA provides zero-interest affordable housing and economic development loans to non-profit developers and community development groups.
Youth Engagement
JCUA's youth programs provide opportunities for teens and college-age people from across the country to take action on current social justice campaigns. Programs provide participants with a Jewish framework to explore their social justice identities and give them the tools and inspiration to build a better world.
