Mission

Following the official teaching of the Church, especially in the Constitution on the Liturgy of the Second Vatican Council, as well as other documents, ACP works to promote better understanding of the liturgy and more effective celebration. Understanding is promoted through articles, books, and periodicals, as well as workshops and similar events. Celebration is promoted through specific publications, to be used in the actual liturgy. Many people are still growing in their understanding of the mind of the Church and so appreciate our helin order to pray.

Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Our principal publication is the Leaflet Missal [R], a periodical prayerbook, sent in quantity to churches, hospitals, and schools. In this context, the missal is used to assist participation in the Mass, both on Sundays and weekdays. The missal is also distributed to thousands of people who are shut-in, elderly and handicapped individuals who cannot go to church.

In both situations, prayer is facilitated by extra large print, a minimum of page turning, and complete texts. We also publish a hymnal, as well as complementary publications, such as accompaniment books, choral settings, cassette recordings, and a Psalter, with Psalms set to Gregorian Chant tones. Finally, we also publish a quarterly periodical, Parish Liturgy, with themes, comments, articles, and pastoral helps for each Sunday. These publications are all intended to promote the teachings of the Catholic Church, especially those on liturgical renewal.
