Promoting Lifelong Learning
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our organization exists to support members, chapters and donors with an established administrative structure to collect, manage and disburse scholarships, fellowships and grants. Using contributions from these varying groups, it is our primary mission to promote lifelong learning by financially supporting students pursuing their higher educational goals. We also assist community organizations with programs that benefit the less fortunate within local communities.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Endowment Program
We currently manage over 350 endowment and fellowships. For 2017 we awarded over $150K in endowment scholarships.
Community Assistance Award Program
Community Assistance Award is one of the means by which our mission of supporting lifelong learning is accomplished. Touching the lives of several individuals involved in scholarly pursuits and projects, these awards help to improve the quality of life for others by funding research and other projects with practical applications.
AKA HBCU Endowment Program
With this HBCU Endowment Fund program, we partnered with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. We are committed to the sustainability of HBCUs by establishing a named endowment on the campus of every four-year accredited Historically Black College and University in the United States.
