Mission

Heartland International is a women-managed nonprofit organization based in Chicago, Illinois. Established in 1989, Heartland International designs, manages and implements political, economic and social development projects, as well as international education exchange programs focusing on democracy and economic development. Through its programs, Heartland International leverages the professional resources of the Midwest to empower emerging leaders and to create positive change in society.
