What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Women of Valor Ministry has a program called MOTHER (Mentoring Others Through Holistic Ecumenical Resources)a program designed to assist single mothers who are experiencing financial hardships due to unemployment or underemployment. With the help of our partners we have been able to meet the needs of women and their children in the areas of finance, education, job training, career counseling, personal care, financial planning and other areas that the Lord may lead us to.

Population(s) Served

WOVM is establishing a new program, Valor Girls Mentoring Program. The mission of Valor Girls is to equip and empower at-risk girls enabling them to pursue and attain their personal, social, educational, and professional goals. Valor Girls will identify caring adults as mentors to facilitate the program. Valor Girls mentors will provide twelve months of one-on-one mentoring to 35 - 40 girls ages 12-16 who are at risk or from low income families. The program will have a project coordinator who will perform pre-screenings and mentor recruitment sessions, and a program director who will conduct mentor interviews, screenings, and trainings. They will provide ongoing support and supervision to mentors and mentees.
