What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Program 1
Through the Museum, the Society produced the following three main exhibits: "Exploring West Wilmette", "Beer Wars: Wets vs. Drys on the North Shore", and "Wilmette and Gross Point in World War I". An additional exhibit, "Local Legends", featuring prominent authors, artists and actors from Wilmette, continued from the prior year. The Society also presented 68 public programs, including iectures, waiking tours, special events such sn open house and an antigue car show, and children's programs.
Program 2
The Society hosted its annual "housewalk" in which houses of historic interest were opened to the public by their request ot the Society and visitors learned about the histroy of these houses from volunteer docents engaged for the event by the Society.
Program 3
The Society authored and mailed to Wilmette residents three editions of the Society's newsletter. These newsletters provided articles and photos pertainingto persons, places or events of significance in the history of Wilmette, announcements of upcoming programs and information on how to access the resources available at the Museum.
