What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Our programs are designed to meet the developmental needs of children by recruiting, screening, selecting, and assigning adult volunteers to engage in one-to-one relationships with youth. The volunteer provides guidance, direction, role modeling, and the warmth of personal friendshiages 5 and above, generally from single-parent homes; our service area includes Ingham, Eaton, and Shiawassee Counties in Michigan. Once entered in one of our programs, the child is eligible for service until reaching the age of 18 or graduating from high school. The proven benefits these children receive are astounding. The many "little moments" spent with their mentors help the boys and girls reach their fullest potential and grow into caring, confident, competent adults.
