What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

In order to reach more kids with the love of Jesus and the hope that he provides, it requires that we gain partners in the way of volunteers and financial in order to bridge the gap. To move towards scaling for a greater number of partners, we must employ a strong recruitment and acquisition solution that will create unending possibilities for growth.

CORE

CORE is about authentic Christ sharing relationships.
Youth for Christ East Michigan Core Clubs are teams of students with adult coaches who together, follow Jesus in a way that naturally invites friends to discover Jesus with them. Teams of students meet weekly with adult coaches to Share, Pray and Discover how God is challenging them to take risks and invite their lost friends to discover Jesus.

This camping experience is a gateway for students, that concentrates what Youth for Christ East Michigan does all school year into a single week.
The privilege of seeing lives transformed and being overwhelmed by what the Holy Spirit does in the hearts and minds of the students changes lives. The relationships that are forged through fun games and thrilling experiences are building blocks providing a pathway for students to receive the love of Christ.

EVENTS We have four large group events per year which allow our students who are in all our 34 clubs to invite friends. This year the attendance at our clubs has been as high at 2009/week. Attendance at our events has ranged between 250-350 and the see you at the pole event draws over 1500 kids on that one morning.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

YFC reaches young people everywhere to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus.
Every day at thousands of community centers, high schools, middle schools, juvenile institutions, coffee shops, and local hangouts, YFC staff and volunteers meet with young people who need Jesus. We are rural and urban and we are always about the message of Jesus.

Our Mission
YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer and the Word of God, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

YFC'S 5 ESSENTIALS FOR FRUITFUL AND SUSTAINABLE MINISTRY SITES:

Widespread Prayer
We deliberately engage lots of Christians to intercede on behalf of the ministry site.

Loving Relationships
We consistently pursue lost kids & engage them in life-long relationships with Jesus.

Faithful Bible Teaching
We accurately handle Biblical truth, regularly coaching kids to apply it in their lives

Collaborative Community Strategy
We intentionally work together with local churches, agencies and other partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry.

Adults Who Empower
We strategically develop leaders to reach young people from every people group.

Authentic Christ-Centered Relationships: Mentoring one student at a time with an army of adult mentors and student leaders who have been involved in our program that what to share the love of Christ with their peers.

The "DNA" OF YOUTH FOR CHRIST. A WAY OF LIFE THAT GUIDES FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST TO BE GOOD NEWS WHILE TELLING STORIES OF THE GOOD NEWS.

It is a way of seeing how the relationships we have with other people and God can be connected and grown. 3Story® is not an evangelism tool or method, it is who we want to be and how we want to live. In YFC, 3Story® is our living operating system. Our hope is that it becomes our DNA.

Donor development to EFFECTIVE ACQUISITION STRATEGIES FOR FINANCIAL PARTNERS & VOLUNTEERS. This has slowly allowed the gap to close which has allowed us to reach more kids due to the ability to hire more staff which has created an increase in volunteers and financial partners.
